News Update: Montauk Monster Found In NY!

I'm giving you all an update just in case you haven't heard or seen the news yet...

Obviously this is some serious news if CNN had to do a storyline on it. What do I think it is? No clue at all. Could be a mutated turtle for all I know...but how did the shell get taken off?

There is also some rumor, as said in the video, that it could be a horrible experiment from a government animal testing facility nearby on Long Island. This could be a possibility to me. The government is basically crazy enough to me to do anything these days.

Viral marketing? Too such an extent...doesn't seem like it to me. But who knows really.

For one, this creature did come out from the ocean. Of course, the deep ocean is a whole other world separate from ourselves. Who knows if this is some type of underwater creature that we have never really discovered.

This is truly a mystery to us all.

Visionary In-Depth: The Joker

People need to stop talking about it. Like seriously, it's bothering me to death. Do you know how bad I have been wanting to see this movie? I can't even describe it in words. I have been waiting years to see this film. First time I ever heard about the film was from my brother, of course. As soon as I knew the joker was to appear in this movie...I just could not wait. Especially with Heath Ledger's skills in this role. This character of the joker in the batman stories has always caught my attention. This simple man, with no supernatural powers, to me is one of the most greatest villains ever. A master criminal; a trickster-thief, who creates chaos and crimes for mere amusement. But the one characterization that has always intrigued me about the joker was the fact that he is a sociopath. A violent, sadistic murderer.

Okay, kinda freaky right? Well let me explain. This man is probably one of the most relentlessly depressing sketches of the human character, from start to finish. In the comics, you never find out the joker's true identity; his name is never officially given. Batman itself was first presented in the 1940s. Yeah sure, many people tried to represent the joker in different ways, with different backgrounds and images. I remember that in the first few comics the joker was asked about his past memories and his response was simply that he remembers in one way, and then sometimes in another (multiple choices).

The reason why I love this character is because I understand this way of thinking. Strange thing to say? Maybe. No, it's not the violence. I mean the reason how he became to be. Every man has their choice to make. Everything that we go through, each and every day is a struggle. A struggle to survive. For some it may be quite easy and half of others don't even notice it. But there are others who must fight, who feel as outcasts, who are misunderstood, who are criticized, who are never heard, who are abused, mistreated, judged and all this makes them feel hatred for the world. Now it is up to the person on what they want to do with this hatred. Will he use this grand force to mistreat others as they did to him? Will she use this anger to build up her strength and strive to fight against it? Or will the atmosphere of terror and fear make them fall into the depths of hatred?

This is the psychological amidst of depravity and depression. This can make almost anyone go cynical. Just look at the two boys who committed the Columbine shootings; they felt hatred for the school for nobody ever accepted them. Look at Hitler, a man who killed a vast majority of people (not only Jews); he was denied of everything he loved in life and was always criticized and judged. And the infamous McKinney and Henderson who were driven by fear and anger to harshly rob, abuse, torture, and murder a homosexual named Matthew Shepard. These events changed the way we look at life today. No, I am not defending them. But these are examples of man falling into the trap of this psychological despondency. The joker represents this face of man.

Of course, we aren't all perfect. No we don't make the greatest or wisest choices all the time. But we have to learn from everything we go through. In reality though, it does affect us. Every change or tragedy does affect the way we think, act, and grow. Yes, it can make us stronger but doesn't change the fact that maybe we are all defected by this helter-skelter world that we live in.

Remember how the saying goes, "Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stranger."

Yes, this is the way I think. I'm crazy, disordered, grotesque, odd, etc. But it's the one of the many faults of being an artist. Our imaginations at times go too far and beyond. But if it wasn't for our way of thinking many movies, comics, music, inventions, and even video games wouldn't be here at this point in time.

Yeah, I really want to see this movie bad. I'm even looking at the picture my brother made (given to me as a birthday present) on my wall. Of batman and joker clutching one another to the death. Batman and the Joker both are defected by troubles and are complete mirror images of one another, but there is one important difference. The choices they both made.

I suppose I'll see this movie in some near future, but one thing is certain. It won't be the same if I'm never able to see it on the big screen. But I guess everything happens for a reason. All I can do is wait.
